Making tea- Play with your tea!!!!

Don't forget to play with your tea!!! Making Iced tea is a great time to do this!!!!!  Mix flavors and see what you get.  If you are nervous to mix two bold flavors take a mint tea and mix it with a fun flavor.  Bigelow Plantation Mint is wonderful- it reminds me of the "ditch" tea my mom makes.  I was out of it, so I just used another peppermint tea.  It is a really good base for iced tea.

Summer is here, so I am playing with tea even more than usual.  I am making 6 gallons of iced tea today!!!

This was a fun one, Herbal Comfort from Alice's Tea Cup. I added one bag of Peppermint tea to this tea, since it I was making a smaller amount of iced tea.  This tea was not as good the second steeping time.  So, I would only make tea from this once, then start fresh with the next batch of tea.

Wild Orange Blossom was another one I liked.

I also added two peppermint tea bags with the loose leaf Teavana tea.

My mint tea this year is not doing well.  So, I took three mint tea bags and added lavender loose leaf tea.  This is my favorite.  And I do add a small amount of sugar to this iced tea.    I can run water through this twice before replacing the tea bags.

The tea is steeping.

Ready to go!!!

This is my frig- it will last me about a week!!!!!
