In keeping with eating and drinking healthy I have been drinking more matcha. I am not a fan of plain matcha tea. But, I do really like them as lattes. I typically use oat milk- it froths better and I like the deep, rich flavor that it adds to the latte. But, I have also used soy milk, coconut milk, soy milk or almond milk.
Matcha is powdered green tea, and has been used in the Japanese tea ceremony for centuries and as such is normally associated with the beautifully complex, and rigid procedure.
Ingredients: Shade grown green tea (Samidori cultivar)
I take 8-10 oz of oat milk, pour in my frother and forth, adding a 1tsp of matcha, and top with ice. It is super easy and very healthy.
Matcha possible benefits:
- Promote Focus and Calm
- Help Detoxify the Body
- Boost Energy Levels
- Increase Metabolism Speed
- Increase Immunity
The green is beautiful. The matcha has an earthiness to it, but once you get passed that it is good. Just keep telling yourself how good it is for you!
I give it 4 tea cups. The raspberry notes come through. Matcha is healthy, but also pricey. This is a good boost and I am learning to really like the flavor.
