Blueberry Lavender Earl Grey Syrup
This is is a great one and I love that I pulled lavender from my garden to make it!
2 C Water
2 C Sugar
4T Lavender
8 teaspoons Loose Leaf Earl Grey tea
Simmer everything but the tea for 15 minutes.
Take pan off the stove, add tea and steep for 5 minutes.
Strain and store in the refrigerator
Okay, I did not measure out the lavender. I just added a bunch of stems. I am not one to measure, sorry.
The smell is incredible! I love lavender.
Pick your Earl Grey tea. I have at least 10 different Earl Grey teas from different companies, but I wanted to use Ohio Tea for this one.
I went classic Earl Grey tea. (notice the label of the classic Earl Grey tea is my cat- Earl Grey!!! Ohio Tea made me this label as a surprise. I adore it)
I put the loose leaf tea in tea bags, I figured it would be easier to strain.
I let this simmer and I mushed the blueberries from time to time to get the juices out.
Straining got a little messy, but I was successful.
This syrup is gold. I am loving it in black tea. I did share a little with my cousin. She said I could use their pool if I gave her some syrup. I am all about negotiating! You get notes of blueberry and lavender and then also the Earl Grey. It is so great. I wish I had started making syrups sooner.
10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
