Salt and Light Lavender in Sterling and a frozen matcha from Kave in Barberton

I was looking for something to do on a Saturday and I saw a U pick Lavender near me.  I have been wanting to visit  Salt and Light Lavender in Sterling Ohio.  It is about 20 minutes from me, so I set off in search of some lavender.

I met Lisa the owner.  It was nice to connect with her.  She has a great lavender field and a fantastic ministry.

I wanted to pick some culinary lavender for my teas.  Lisa was kind enough to let me pick that lavender, even though that was not the scheduled lavender to pick.

I paid $10 a bundle, but I got a ton of lavender.

They give you a zip tie that is already set to the correct size of the bundle you are allowed to pick and then you add lavender to the bundle.

Below is my bundle:

It is a beautiful area to pick lavender.  And she has several varities.

After picking lavender I headed to Barberton.  I have not been to Baberton for tea in awhile.

I decided to try Kave in Baberton
584 W. Tuscarawas Ave.
Barberton, OH 44203

It was a cute cafe with a nice option of teas.    They have Chai, loose leaf, London Fogs, Matcha, and organic iced tea. They had a nice selection of seating options too.

While I was there there was also a man playing jazz.  The mans wife was there and he dedicated a song to her, it was super sweet. It was a nice day to be there.

I thought the matcha had a really nice green tea flavor.  I was pleased.  The cost was good, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean.  I would give this 5 tea cups out of 5.

After I got home, I was inspired to cut my own lavender.  I can't wait to make some tea with my lavender.

Locally sourced blueberries and lavender to make blueberry/lavender matcha

Making blueberry lavender Matcha with coconut milk..

Man is this easy and so delicious!!

I blended blueberries with some water and lavender syrup.
Then I made some matcha
and I added it all together with some coconut milk.

I picked up my lavender syrup at the Lavender Festival in Orrville.

My friend Abby and I had fun checking out the sellers and the lavender at Lavender Trails in Orrville.

Lavender festival was super fun.  The weather was great and I they had lots of vendors.  We walked around and visited with people.  I am hoping to set up here next year and sell lavender iced teas.

There were about 20 vendor who had honey, syrups, candles, soaps, cotton candy, wood products, etc.

I had friends from church who were there selling their cotton candy - they made a lavender flavored one too.

They also had food trucks there.  Abby and I had lunch there as well.

You were able to pick your own lavender and pay by the bunch.

Then another day I went to the Blueberry days in Bauman Orchard in Rittman.  This is where I got my blueberries.

Bauman Orchards does a lot of fun fruit events.  I have been apple picking there which always fun.  They have Peach days, and a strawberry festival as well.  Check out their website for more events hapening.

You could pick blueberries at the blueberry days.  I bought some blueberries and some blueberry cider.  They were both really delicious.  I even bought some donuts...they were the best blueberry donuts I have ever had!!!  They were fresh and hot.  I bought one for myself and one for my mom and dad.
I am glad I shared with them- or I would have eaten all three myself in one sitting.

Otts at the Blueberry Festival, Iced London Cloud

I love a good festival and saw that there was one in Rittman at Bauman Orchards.
Bonus, was Ott's coffee was there along with my friend Briana.

Check out Bauman Orchards for more fruit festivals!!

I ordered a lemon lavender energy drink and an iced London Cloud.

The lemon lavender will get three tea cups from me.  I loved the lavender flavor but it was too sweet for me.  It was not bad, but it just not for me. Plus, I think it is a little pricey.  I will stick with the tea.

The Iced London Cloud on the other hand was fantastic!!  The cold foam on top was great and then it had the great Earl Grey flavors in the tea.

They had blueberries that you could pick from their orchard or already picked in the store.

I also picked up some blueberries to make some puree from.  I love fruit puree with my matcha tea.

I also picked up some blueberry donuts...one for me and one for my mom and one for dad.  They may have been the best blueberry donut I have ever had!!

I was glad I called my parents to see if they were home.  If I had not called them I may have eaten ALL three donuts.  They were warm cake donuts and just so delicious.

Kings Street Cafe, Iced London Cloud with cold foam, Wadsworth OH

I was in Wadsworth I noticed that this cafe had changed hands...so I figured I needed to try it out, lol.

I am a fan of this cafe and what they stand for- making a change in the community, one cup at a time!  They want to be a hub for positivity!  I love this.  They were opened by Mosaic Church, I love this as well.  There is a lot of love here :)  I believe in making a positive change in a community through tea myself!

I had a GREAT Iced London Fog (also called a London Cloud) with cold foam.  This price was good, they have lost of options for drinks, and the staff was super friendly.
