Journey in Time pop up, July 22, 2023

Time for another farmers market pop up.  I am excited to have a chance to set up and sell more tea.

Journey in Time is great place to find fun and unique items.  They have seasonal items for your home or to give as gifts.  They also have everyday decor, furniture, antiques, and all sorts of goodies.

I have my "tea gear" ready for the day.
I have my new latte art glasses, my tea earrings, and tea socks.

My car is jammed packed with tea items.  That is the one pain about a pop up- the loading and unloading of the tea items.  I hope maybe one day to have a trailer or something where everything can be stored.  But, for now I will load my car with tables, tea dispensers, jugs of tea and water, prize wheel, and all the other goodies for the day.

I am set  up beside a fellow Orrville graduate, my friend Seo.  She has the most incredible food.  I love her egg rolls!!!

I got my tables set up.  The Journey in Time people were kind enough to let me be under their tent, and it ended up being a hot day, so that was great.

I did Passion Fruit bubble tea, Strawberry bubble tea, Hibiscus iced tea, and my Butterfly tea tea.  The butterfly pea tea is like an Arnold Palmer.  And when I add them lemonade to the tea it turns purple.  It is really pretty.

I have my teas for $5 a glass.  I also have my prize wheel with items people can win when they spin.

There was a very nice selection of vendors here this day.  Food, clothing, soaps, candles, tumblers, jewelry, etc.

Some of my first customers were my friend Amy and her mom, Carol!!!  They got the Butterfly pea tea...Amy's favorite.

I also had my friend Megan stop by, as well as my friend Monica and her sister Marci.

At lunch I ordered some of Seo's food. It was all so very good.  The egg rolls I took home for lunch the next day.  She even has these great beepers.  So, I was able to wait at my tea table and then pop over to her truck when the food was ready.

I had some other fun visitors come by- Audrey of Audrey's Attic..who I used to work for.  Also, a former co-worker Margo and my mom.

On a side note- this was Audrey's first time ever having bubble tea.  She was a hoot!!  She said she thought it was called bubble tea, because of my bubbly personality, lol!!!  She was asking everyone around her if they had ever tried it.  She was so cute bursting those juice bubbles in her mouth.

I brought flowers from my garden to sit on my table too.

It was good day.  A long day, but a good day.  I love being able to share tea with people.
Keep me in mind if you have to have a tea bar at your next gathering.

Or if  you have some friends that want to drink tea or learn more about tea, I am happy to do a tea class for all of you.  I have lots of options.

Salt and Light Lavender in Sterling and a frozen matcha from Kave in Barberton

I was looking for something to do on a Saturday and I saw a U pick Lavender near me.  I have been wanting to visit  Salt and Light Lavender in Sterling Ohio.  It is about 20 minutes from me, so I set off in search of some lavender.

I met Lisa the owner.  It was nice to connect with her.  She has a great lavender field and a fantastic ministry.

I wanted to pick some culinary lavender for my teas.  Lisa was kind enough to let me pick that lavender, even though that was not the scheduled lavender to pick.

I paid $10 a bundle, but I got a ton of lavender.

They give you a zip tie that is already set to the correct size of the bundle you are allowed to pick and then you add lavender to the bundle.

Below is my bundle:

It is a beautiful area to pick lavender.  And she has several varities.

After picking lavender I headed to Barberton.  I have not been to Baberton for tea in awhile.

I decided to try Kave in Baberton
584 W. Tuscarawas Ave.
Barberton, OH 44203

It was a cute cafe with a nice option of teas.    They have Chai, loose leaf, London Fogs, Matcha, and organic iced tea. They had a nice selection of seating options too.

While I was there there was also a man playing jazz.  The mans wife was there and he dedicated a song to her, it was super sweet. It was a nice day to be there.

I thought the matcha had a really nice green tea flavor.  I was pleased.  The cost was good, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean.  I would give this 5 tea cups out of 5.

After I got home, I was inspired to cut my own lavender.  I can't wait to make some tea with my lavender.

Locally sourced blueberries and lavender to make blueberry/lavender matcha

Making blueberry lavender Matcha with coconut milk..

Man is this easy and so delicious!!

I blended blueberries with some water and lavender syrup.
Then I made some matcha
and I added it all together with some coconut milk.

I picked up my lavender syrup at the Lavender Festival in Orrville.

My friend Abby and I had fun checking out the sellers and the lavender at Lavender Trails in Orrville.

Lavender festival was super fun.  The weather was great and I they had lots of vendors.  We walked around and visited with people.  I am hoping to set up here next year and sell lavender iced teas.

There were about 20 vendor who had honey, syrups, candles, soaps, cotton candy, wood products, etc.

I had friends from church who were there selling their cotton candy - they made a lavender flavored one too.

They also had food trucks there.  Abby and I had lunch there as well.

You were able to pick your own lavender and pay by the bunch.

Then another day I went to the Blueberry days in Bauman Orchard in Rittman.  This is where I got my blueberries.

Bauman Orchards does a lot of fun fruit events.  I have been apple picking there which always fun.  They have Peach days, and a strawberry festival as well.  Check out their website for more events hapening.

You could pick blueberries at the blueberry days.  I bought some blueberries and some blueberry cider.  They were both really delicious.  I even bought some donuts...they were the best blueberry donuts I have ever had!!!  They were fresh and hot.  I bought one for myself and one for my mom and dad.
I am glad I shared with them- or I would have eaten all three myself in one sitting.
