Indian Grocery Store and chai Kullah Cups, Cuyahoga Falls

While we were in Stow at Tamr I noticed we passed an Indian Grocery Store on the way there in Cuyahoga Falls.
I could not wait to go check it out, since I have upcoming Chai classes happening.

2619 Bailey Rd, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221

They have oodles of goodies!!!

They had teas and coffees from India.

So many fun things to check out.

This is jaggary- the sugar they put in their chai.

But what stopped me in my tracks and had me let a little squeal was finding these cups!! I have been looking for Chai Kullah cups for years!!  They sell online for around $30 for just a few and then shipping is crazy.  I have wanted them for me chai tea classes.

These Kullah cups are made from red clay in India, and it is what the chai wallah's use to sell street chai from.  They say that they are biodegradable and so much better for the environment than plastic and paper cups...and they say even cheaper.  People drink their chai and then throw the cups down.  The streets are said to be littered with broken clay.  Rumor has it that some will even nibble on the cups for the great nutritional value in the clay.  I am willing to try the cups- but I will pass on taking a bite.

These are singe use cups, but if I am the only one using them, I may re-use them.  I will clean with boiling water, no soap.  The more you use the cup the more seasoned they become.  Makes me think of cast iron cooking.

The set of six cups sold for $6!!!

I also bought some cookies for my chai class.  These Mathi and Feni were NOT good and I would not buy them again.  The pistachio cookies were good.

I also got this tray for $9.  It reminds me of the tray they use to dry tea on.  It will make a good serving tray too.

I bought 12 cups, I cannot wait to use them at a tea.

Blend of Grace teas- Lavender Haze, Fairy Garden Matcha, Spring Blossom, Iced Shaken Peach Tea, and Iced Blueberry Mist Green Tea. Which recipe did I recreate because I loved it so much?

I am a super big fan of Blend of Grace!!!

And I have a new favorite from them...Fairy Garden Matcha!!
I loved it so much that I have learned to make it too.

I bought Fairy Garden Matcha and Lavender Haze.

The gals who work here are so friendly!!  I always enjoy getting my drinks here.

The edible butterfly is what sets this over the top for me!!

Fairy Garden Matcha is 5 teacups for me!!  The creativity is stunning.  The flavors are on point.  It is just so much fun.  The prices here are good too.  I highly recommend.

The Lavender Haze, with cold foam....

This one is a bit of a miss for me.  The drink is great, but with the cold foam on top it was not great.  Mixing the lemonade and milk of the cold foam was not a taste I enjoyed.  Having them separate I liked them both.  I would not get this again with the cold foam.  I would absolutely get it just as butterfly pea tea though.  But together it is a 3 teacup drink for me.

Later in the week I tried the Spring Blossom, it was really good too!

This is white tea with grapefruit and guava and splash of lemonade.  This one was good, but slightly sweet for me with the lemonade.  Still it was really good, just sweet.
The grapefruit and guava with the white tea was light and refreshing.  I give it 4 teacups.

On yet another day...we headed for more drinks, lol.

So many great options!!  I love that their tea drinks are pretty pure.  The tea is there; the flavors are on point.  I also love that the prices are not jacked up, they are very reasonable.

Both of these green drinks were great!  Both light and refreshing with their respective fruit flavors and the green tea.

Now to make my own Fairy Garden Matcha...

I went online and found edible butterflies- 72 butterflies for $9.00

I also got the blackberry syrup and whipping cream for the cold foam on top.

First I used my frother with almond milk- it was a miss.  The almond milk does not froth.  So, I went for the calories to get the look and taste I wanted and I bought the whipping cream.

When I used the right products, I got the right look!

And I actually prefer my $12 hand held frother from Amazon.  It does a great job frothing and it is rechargeable.

Matcha drink-
Matcha
almond milk
ice

cold foam-
whipping cream
syrup
edible butterfly

I now have it right and I make it all the time!  This time with raspberry matcha.

Such a great drink for spring and summer.

Thank you Blend of Grace for the inspiration!

Tea Barbie of Kerrie's Cup of Tea

I wanted to jump on the barbie trend.  I was not able to get AI to do a good one for me, so I created my own.

I am not sure who started the trend, but it is adorable!  I wish they were this easy to create and actually produce.  I would love a tea barbie.

There were lots of fun tea ones...these were some of my favorites....

I know there are real tea barbies, but I do like one that looks like me, lol.
