Fickle Kitty Iced Chai and Farmers Market

I love a good farmers market.  This one is about 10 minutes from my house.  This one does not have much in the way of fruits and vegetables, but it does have some homemade items and crafts.  It is fun to walk around and browse.
This market is at a local farm.

My friends were set up there and selling her beautiful rugs and homemade items.

I saw this cute teapot wind chime.  It reminds me of the one I made.  It is really cute.

I did buy this adorable planter/teapot.

I did a frozen chai and some potstickers/dumplings.  I love that everything is homemade.

The frozen chai was really good and super refreshing.  It was more on the sweet side then spicy side.

The frozen chai was good.  The price was good, the ladies were super friendly too.  I love to support local too.  The chai was good and I would get it again.

There were two food truck options.....

Arizona Iced Tea Car

This car showed up in my town!!!  This car looks just like the Arizona .99 Iced Tea Can!!!

How fun is that?!!!

Cafe Santo Domingo, Iced Chai Latte, Punta Cana DR

I was in Punta Cana on a mission trip.  We had the afternoon off we decided to head a short distance into town.  We took a taxi, but I would recommend an Uber.  A taxi is about twice the cost of an Uber.  There was a store called Jumbo- which was like a giant Target or Walmart.  Behind the store and also in front of their store were these giant fish.  You know I have to have some photos taken by them, lol.

In side the mall area was a cafe.  I was so excited to find another place that sold tea.  It was so hot I could have drank about four of those iced chai lattes.

The staff spoke some English.  They were super friendly and helpful.  They did not get frustrated with us and our lack of their language.

I thought the iced chai was very good. It was super refreshing.  The chai was creamy and cold.  I did wish the chai notes were a bit stronger.  The flavor was good, but I would have liked more spice notes.  It was sweet and good though.

In the Super Pola Grocery Store we found these giant avocados.  I was also pleased to find some other teas and some kombucha.  A local grocery store is a great place to find unique foods and drinks.

I encourage to get out and try new things and places.  Even if you never leave the states- go to a different city and see what it new there.  Try ethnic grocery stores and try new foods.  I love to eat foods from different countries.

Here is the giant fish out front of the store.

Red Mug, Orchard Peach Iced Tea, Mt Hope oh

I love love love that there are little coffee (tea) shops popping up in all these little towns near me.  And I love even more how many are started by Christians with a passion for people.  This is one of those places.

When I head to Amish Country, I always think of Mt Hope as the start of the journey.  When I start my journey I need some tea, lol!!!  I usually do the Lumberjack Latte, but today I wanted something cooler, since it was hot out.  I did the iced tea.

The prices here are some of the best around.  To get large drinks for under $5 is really rare.  I am more likely to buy something to go with my drink when the drink is well priced.  And they always have a nice display of goodies to choose from.

This shop is really clean and inviting.  I love the vibe and industrial look that they are using here.

16 oz iced tea was $3.50.  The flavors were spot on for peach notes.  The base tea was also very nice.  I thought this was a really good iced tea.

This tea get four tea cups out of 5.  The taste is really good, the price is excellent and the staff is super kind and helpful.

Earl Grey is a poster child

I am sure you have seen this before- Ohio Tea surprised me with a tea label with my cat on it.  This is not the label that the regular customer gets, this is just a special one for me.  I adore it!!

I decided to blow it up and put it in my dinning room.  It makes me smile every time I see it.

I think that Earl Grey likes it and approves of it too.

Yes, this is a keeper!!!!

I love love love this poster!!!

I am thinking of asking Ohio Tea to make a special label for my 50th birthday.  I would love to create a tea with oolong, coconut and lavender.

Mundo Autrntico, Chin Chin, Cacao Tea- Punta Cana Dominican Republic

While on a mission trip in the Dominican Republic I wanted to take the youth I was working with on an adventure.  The hotel we were staying in recommended  Mundo Autrntico.  So, I went the day before to check it out to be sure it would work.  It was a super fun place to visit.

We started out in the souvenir shop, then went to the jewelry store, then to the coffee shop and then my favorite was the cacao shop.  (there was also a rum and cigar shop that I did not take the youth too)

There was not much shopping in the area, so this place is some place I would recommend.

The Souvenir Shop had lots of fun items to look through.  I was able to purchase some fun gifts to bring home for friends.

The Coffee shop and tasting area.

Here was my favorite, shop...the Cacao tea shop!  The day before I got  few Ubers and tried to find tea around the area.  I was unsuccessful in finding tea, but I did enjoy seeing the sights.
So I was thrilled to find this unexpected tea shop here at Mundo Autrnitco.

The guys in the shop were super fun.  We tried hot coco cacao and hot cacao tea.  Then we also did cacao chocolate tasting.   The cacao chocolate was incredible!

"Studies have shown that cacao is packed with health benefits. In particular, cacao is naturally rich in antioxidants, flavonoids and a natural compound called theobromine, which provides a gentle energy boost while relaxing the body, decreasing blood pressure, improving brain function, and supporting healthy digestion, circulation and respiration. Cacao is also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, including potassium, magnesium, calcium, copper and zinc."  https://www.cacaoteaco.com/

"Here are some of the benefits of the vitamins and minerals found in the tea:

The Cacao tea is like drinking chocolate- really!!! And it is healthy for you and caffeine free!!  It is true. It was so yummy!!  I bought a couple bags to take home.

Below is a statue with the cacao bean.

The tea is yummy tasty.  The price is good.  The staff was fun and friendly.  Cacao is also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, including potassium, magnesium, calcium, copper and zinc. Cacao Husk Tea gets 5 tea cups from me.

Side note- when I make it at home I make it as a latte with almond or oat milk.  It really elevates the flavors.
