I love to have tea tasting contest in my house.
Who judges? Well, me of course! hahahaha
I am a big fan of Earl Grey. And I really love Earl Grey with lavender. And that is just what Lady Lavender and Vintage Earl Grey are...Earl Grey teas with lavender.
I decided to try these two loose leaf teas. They are not exactly the same, The Tea Spot has vanilla added to it.
THE TEA SPOT, Lady Lavender...
I enjoyed the addition of vanilla in this tea. However, the lavender was really light in it. It seemed more about the vanilla.
black tea, lavender, orange peel, mallow flowers, bergamot & vanilla flavoring
OHIO TEA COMPANY, Vintage Earl Grey...
This is a nice Earl Grey with lavender. The bergamot and lavender play well together- neither one outshines the other.
Black Tea, Rose Petals, Lavender, and Rosemary, with Natural and Artificial Flavoring
I made them the say way. I put 6 scoops of tea in the water that was 200 degrees. I steeped each for 10 minutes.
After steeping for 10 minutes, I added the tea to the pitchers and filled the rest of the pitcher was cold water.
Both teas were good, but I preferred the Vintage Earl Grey. When both pitchers got low, I ended up combing the teas. I think I liked that the best way. The vanilla from the Tea Spot was really good with the lavender in the Vintage Grey. I do like to play with my tea.
Try it out for yourself. Taste teas against one another to find your favorite. Also try mixing teas together with flavors that you like...you never know what you will discover.
10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
