Qahwah House, Yemen Chai and Matcha

I put on my big girl panties and drove downtown Columbus for the first time in my life.  I picked a great time, Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.  There was NO traffic.  I have to say I was proud of myself.  I hate highway driving.  Although I have come a long way over the years, Columbus on and off ramps still make me nauseas.

I was visiting a friend for the weekend and I was super excited to see that this Yemen Cafe Qahwah House was five minutes from her hotel.  I stopped on my way into town and my way home.

The cafe has a very fun feel.  There are thinks all over to see about the coffee that comes from their region.

They have incredible looking desserts.  I did not get any desserts on my first trip, but I did get some for the ride home on Monday.

They have some nice coffee and tea options.

I wanted to try the Yemen Chai- Adeni Chai.
Their chai is black tea with cardamon, nutmeg, and evaporated milk.
I enjoyed it a lot and bought some to bring home as well.

There is a nice amount of seating too.  On Sunday it was not busy, but on Monday it was very busy.

They carry the coffee and tea pots that I like.

I also bought my friend and I a matcha.  She got the coconut matcha and I bought the mango.  I thought it was really really delicious!  $7 for a matcha is pricey, but it was very good.

The staff was helpful, the drinks were really good, the cafe was clean.  I was very impressed.  My only draw back was the price of the drinks.  I get I was in the city, so that is why I am still giving them 5 stars and not 4, lol.

As I was leaving town on Monday, I stopped and got another Matcha, this time lavender, and a pistachio dream for the next day at work.

This Pistachio Dream dessert was a dream!! It was so delicious.  It reminded me slightly of a cheesecake but better, lol.

1 Peter 4:10-11, ESV

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
