Bridal Shower Tea Party

I was asked to so a Bridal Shower Tea.

If you are curious about the cost of something like this, to hire me?
$100 - will get you me serving  3 teas.
At this party, I did two iced teas and one hot.  But I can work with you on what you would like to have.

The hot tea was a chai.  I made 3 pots of this tea.

tiesta makes a great spicy chai, Chai Love.

I made 2 gallons of this Twinings Strawberry Raspberry tea.  Since it is an herbal tea I wanted something with a little more body, so I mixed in a black tea from Nepal.

I also did 2 gallons of Mango Sencha from Ohio Tea.  The bride likes mango flavors, and this is a great light and refreshing drink.  I also then added real mango to the tea for extra flavor.

If you wonder how to keep your tea cold and also how not to water it down with ice cubes...put some tea in a Jell-O mold, use extra ice cube trays, or zip lock bags.  This then becomes your ice for the tea.  If you have to use ice then make your tea stronger so that the ice is not diluting it.

I also like to have samples of the loose-leaf tea out so people can smell or look at the tea they are drinking.

I set up my table.  And for the chai I had extra milk, sugar, and honey if people wanted their tea creamier or sweeter.

The bride to be and me.

My dear friend Rita was there, she is related to the bride to be.  It was a special surprise to see her there.

They rented the banquet building at Dutch Kitchen on Route 30.  It was a great location for this event.  I also liked that there were nice clean restrooms, and they had AC, it was a hot one.  They had a kitchen area in the back, which was nice, I was able to use their water for the tea.  As well as a fridge to keep my milk in for the chai.

Side note, you do have to be careful when going places and you want to make tea with someone else's water.
For instance, I knew Dutch Kitchen's water was okay, I have eaten there and drank their water.  Actually, from age 16-20ish I was a waitress there.   It was called Aprils.
But I am not a fan on my parents well water.  If I do a tea there, I do bring my own water.  It is something to consider- bad water will ruin your tea.  If in doubt get filtered or bottled.

They had an area to make flower arrangements!  They even asked if I wanted to make an arrangement in vase- I did of course!  Everyone got to select their own vase, their flowers, and the fillers.

A fun day and I was happy to be a part of it.

Let me know if you would like me to be apart of your next event.

Who doesn't love fresh flowers?
I dropped my flowers off to my aunt.  I knew if I took them home my cats would eat them, lol.

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
