Mariage Freres Cream Tea in London

After an amazing day at Highclere Castle, I still wanted a little something to eat.  I had tried to go to Mariage Freres the other day and they were closed.  So, I thought I would try their Cream Tea for a light dinner.

Mariage Freres is a 5 minute walk from my hotel.  It is in Covent Gardens.

The store is classy and very high end...I did not buy anything.

The dining room is upstairs.  It is not a huge room, but it was very elegant.

Lots and lots of tea options.  I was hot and tired so I went for the iced tea.

Some of the desserts, that I avoided, lol.

The restaurant is upstairs, the tea for sale is downstairs.  It looks so much like a library to me.  I love the look.

Here is my jelly and clotted cream.

I looked to see how much the little container was that held the clotted cream and it was £65!!

My dinner.

I got the iced Earl Grey, I enjoyed it too.

I am not sure if I am Devonshire or Cornish follower.
Devonshire is clotted cream first then jam
Cornish is jam on the scone and then clotted cream.
I think I lean towards being a Devonshire believer.

This was a fun place to visit and I am glad I was able to have a cream tea experience.  The scones were good.  The tea was good.  But this place was very pricey.  Too pricey to even buy tea here.

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
