Fascinators
Headband/hair clip felt for insisde Fascinator felt hat
base
Hot glue scissors feathers flowers
*nettings
Once this is dry, begin working on the top of the fascinator. I like to glue on a large flower. Behind the flower I add the netting and then stick in feathers.
*I found that a bath scrubby works great for netting. That is what is used in the one in the photos.
Fun and super easy to make!
You can come Saturday, June 6 to my class and make one too.
These are great for Derby Teas. Have a tea and watch a horse derby, serve the mint julep (recipe in the book), and have everyone make a fascinator.
Headwear traces back to Marie Antoinetter Era in the 1770’s. The first fascinator was mentioned in print in the 1850’s The 1980’s and 90’s regained popularity.
