Bubble Tea in Taiwan, L.E.A.F Cafe

I am in Taiwan, so I have to have bubble tea....the home of where it was invented!

At this point, I am just punch happy, I have been up for about 24 hours straight.

I can't be in Taiwan and not have bubble tea.  It was invented here in the 1980's.
The airport is in Taoyuan City, northwest of Taipei.

Bubble tea in Taiwan is basically milk tea with tapioca balls.  I enjoyed it.  I was so glad that things were open at the airport.  My fear is I fly in and I am too early or too late for shops and cafes to be open.  This time I got here just as things were opening, so that was nice.

I would have liked the tea to be a little stronger.  It seemed light in body.  Still good, but I wanted more tea flavor, but maybe that is how they are made here in Taiwan.  I did not have two bubble teas to compare so I will trust that LEAF made a good, authentic Taiwanese bubble tea.

I also got an Egg roll croissant.  It was tasty, not what I expected, but good.  It was like there was a a heavy dough on top of the croissant- I was expecting a sweet light texture and taste, but it wasn't really like that.  I am not sure how to describe it.  I probably would pass on this again and take something more "exciting" in flavor.

I am always fascinated by their writing.
