Before the conference started, I had a day or two to adjust to the time change and prepare the kids room and buy any supplies needed.
I also took a few hours off to have an afternoon tea!
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali
tea was served in the Anarasa Restaurant.
I thought it would be as advertised on line- "
Enjoy our afternoon tea with a tempting sweets buffet and free flow of tea and coffee options with tropical garden views on the veranda of the Katha lobby lounge." But, the restaurant was very nice too.I did some research before I left the states. I booked my afternoon tea based off-
1. walking distance from my hotel (20 minute walk)
2. cost (this was $13.88)
3. tea and food served
The heat was a lot and I ended up taking a "Grab" (like an uber) to and from...it only cost $2.12, lol.
Next time I may go a little further for something a little more traditional Indonesian and not plan on walking....
I was very surprised there were two plates of sweets....I would have rather had two plates of spring rolls and dumplings, lol.
I also had a pot of Dilmah jasmine tea.
I had spring roll, and a "purse"- often called a dumpling or money bag
Dilmah Jasmine Tea. It was very good...I drank the entire pot.
I am not sure what all was on my plate, but I did enjoy it!
Matcha tart, scone, raspberry macaron, a mango tart, and some sort of chocolate cake.
I made a faux pas and I cut the scone the wrong direction!
And I can't ever decide if the clotted cream goes on first or the jelly- so I put them side by side.
Such a reasonable price for all I received!
I would give this afternoon tea a 5 out of 5 teacups! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. Everything was clean and pretty. The tea was nice too. The best was the price!
I would do this again...but maybe ask for more savory or the sweets.
I enjoyed all the different restroom symbols while in Indonesia.
How fun are these lounge seats???
