Green Tea Kit Kat

I picked up these candy bars while in Thailand in 2016.  I wanted to try them, and I heard they were like $8 at World Market in the states.  In Thailand I think they were like a $1.  A great deal, but the taste???  Well....

Teista Tea- Eternity Cold Brew, Blueberry Wild Child

This is one of the teas I received in my Sips By monthly tea box. (https://www.sipsby.com/) I enjoyed this tea.  I tried it warm and cold brew.  And I preferred cold brew.  It is fruity and refreshing.

(Sips By- is a monthly tea service that surprises you with tea by mail.  You never know what teas you will receive.  It is fun to see what you will get and to try new teas.  I just decided it was more money then I wanted to spend)

Cold brew is a great way to enjoy your tea!  Put loose leaf (or bagged tea) in cold water an you can enjoy it all day long, just keep adding cold water.   If your cup doesn't have a filter to separate the loose leaf tea from the water, you can always put your loose leaf tea in a plain tea bags.  I have a filtered travel mug, see below.

The tea does not get bitter,  when you cold brew- the tannins are not released.  After maybe about the 3rd or 4th time adding water you can start to notice the flavor is not as intense.  I'd toss the leafs after that cup.  You will know when you can no longer taste the great tea flavor.

This is a fun  mix of sweet blueberries and tart elderberries with antioxidant-rich hibiscus.

Journey in time- places for tea pots and tea cups

I saw on line that Audrey Merkle was at Journey in Time, so I decided to pop over and see her.  Audrey owned and ran Audrey's Attic for years.  I worked for her full time for a about a year and then I worked part time for her as well.

I loved Audrey's Attic, and Journey in Time has that same feel.  Lots of unique vintage items.  I have discovered that they have great tea pots and tea cups too.

I liked this tea sign, but it is $45- so it is still there, lol!  Also, it no longer lights up.

They now carry tea too.

I love their decor.  They do a fabulous job making it all look so inviting.

I bought this tea pot there for $15.  It reminds me of ArtDeco- porcelier china.  It’s got a cute little Dutch girl on it. 

I can steep loose leaf tea in this pot.  I think it is adorable!

Probably a coffee percolator - but I’m using it for tea!

For Teas Sake- Hibiscus Mint

INGREDIENTS:

Apple pieces, hibiscus petals, rosehip pieces, ginger pieces and peppermint.

I purchased this tea while visiting in GA.  I really liked it.  The blend of hibiscus and mint is a great combo.

I tried it in my Keurig, but I have not discovered  making tea in my Keurig is not working for me.

So, I put the loose leaf in a bag and made and it the "old fashioned" way and it turned out great.

There are chunks of goodness in this cup!  I love when loose leaf tea has lots of flavor and just dustings of tea. 

I love this tea hot and love it cold brewed.  This tea is great!!  I hope you will love it too.  Try it.
