Ohio Tea Co

My mom, my niece and my sisters visited this shop in Canton Ohio. I am a fan!!!!  The man we spoke with was wonderful.  So knowledgeable and not pushy at all.  I learned a lot from him.  I can not wait to go back.  Also, if you sign up for their news letter you can get free tea!!  And the prices....the prices are really good!

As you can see, I am pretty excited to be here....

Here are some of their teas.  The teas are sealed in these tins- so light can not get in and they last longer.  there is a small tin below where you can see and smell the tea.  And then if you turn the tin over you can see the price break down.  The tea is in order of caffeine- littlest caffeine to strongest amount.

I again, would recommend this place to anyone in the Northeastern corner of Ohio.

You can even try a tea if you are on the fence about buying it.

My niece has had enough :)

They have a nice display of tea pots, cups, tea accessories, and tea sets.

Tea Organization

I love to be organized!!!  And I love it when my tea is organized.  I used to have bins in my cupboard, but I took them out to organize my hats- lol.  When I was in Wooster the other night, I stopped in to the Surplus Store and found the perfect bins for my tea cupboard!!!  And they were 1/2 off!!!  I was able to buy the bins for $6.50 and $7.00.  I think I am way more likely to use them in these easy to pull out bins.  How do you store your tea???

BEFORE:

Even the cat is a fan of the bins

I put Oolong in one basket, Rooibos in another, White tea in another, black in another, and so on....

They all fit except for my green tea bin.  Right now this is where it is staying.

Here you can see them divided by kind of tea

Chai has it's own special green bin.

Then on the counter are my K Cups.

Cold Brew TEA! Check out the ideas

If you have not tried cold brew tea, you have no idea what you are missing!!!  It is a great way to drink your tea.

"Cold brewed tea pulls the fruity, grassy, or bright flavors from the tea offering a different flavor profile than the hot brewed counterpart. And there is no messing around with boiling water either!"- Kim Harris

Okay, I got this cold brew tea bottle.  You add the loose leaf tea and the water filters threw the holes.  It is a great way to drink tea.  I want to drink cold tea in another glass.  So, I am trying to think of another way to "filter" the tea.

I found this tea filter that works

Here is another option that fits in the glass

And yet, another way to filter tea....

And yet another way. This fits in my glass ball jar that I use as a glass.  This mesh tea filter fits in the jar and I am able to put the lid on it.

Pips House Made Chai Portland 2016

This was a highlight of my trip this time!!!  This was so much fun!!!  It was in Portland.  And anytime someone wants to bring this to Wayne County Ohio I am in!!!!  It was unique and delightful.

This hip, casual coffee cafe specializes in fried-to-order mini-donuts, chai & espresso drinks.
Address4759 NE Fremont St, Portland, OR 97213Phone(503) 206-8692

The line was long!!! We had to wait forever :)

My sister and I spilt a dozen donuts and the chai flight.  It was AMAZING!!!  My favorite chai was the Lavender (Aka the Emmylou).  We both thought that the Smoky Robinson was awful!!  We did not even finish it.

We each got one of each flavor or donuts.  I liked the honey and sea salt one maybe the best, but so hard to pick one.  They were warm and fresh!

OH MY!!! It is so good!!!!!
