Tea stop 6 of 7 in NYC was about 40 minute walk from Cha An.

I started off in daylight and ended it the dark. Yet, it was a great walk! Passing a farmers market and the people watching was fantastic.
I led a bus trip of 56 people to NYC this fall. This is my second leading of this bus trip. It is so much fun!
We leave my town in Ohio, at 10pm on a Friday night, drive all night.
Get dropped off in Chinatown around 6:30am. Everyone gets to do their own thing around New York until around 9pm.
We are picked up at 9pm at Bryant Park, drive all night and get dropped off in my town at 6am Sunday morning. All this for $185.00
I love the charter bus, red eye trip. I am leading one this March to DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival. This trip is only $165 per person.
Below is my tea map....I plan on stopping at least 9 tea shops in the 15 hours in NYC ( I only made it to 7 shops).

Since I did not get filled up at the Japanese afternoon tea, I picked up some delicious dumplings at Tim Ho Wan. They hit the spot!!!!
Some tea places I passed in my walk...
Then I came along a great farmers market. They had lots of fun things to see...food, plants, flowers, spices, and even a tea place.
I adore this bright cheery spot in the middle of the city.
As dusk came, so did the street vendors.

I was amazed to look up at one point and see the Empire State Building. I was not expecting it there.

The pastry shops I passed were incredible! Each one looked mouth watering and inviting. But, I did resist!

After walking 45 minutes, I was sooo ready to sit and be done for awhile. But, I knew I had another 45 minute walk to get to the last tea place. Like most stops before this one, it was a bathroom break, getting a tea to go and heading to the next tea.
This tea shop is located on W 29th Street.
The lady who prepared my tea knew what she was doing! She had the correct water temperature and steeping time. I appreciate that! Watching her I thought this was going to be a fantastic cup of tea.
I ordered the Jasmine Green.
They had a nice area with teapots and tea ware for sale.
There was a room in the back that appeared to be hosting a party. Then there was a room here in the front that appeared open to the public to sit and drink tea.
The tea was too hot to drink right away...so off I go with my cup.
Sadly this tea was not good. It was super strong and bitter. I still am giving it two tea cups, since the lady was friendly and she made tea the proper way. The shop was clean. I just didn't care for the strong, astringent flavors.
Ahhhh, New York!

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
