New Dragon Fly Tea Room and Raspberry Oolong

I was driving through the Canal Fulton and decided to see their new location and grab more of their Raspberry Oolong tea.

This is the back where you park and and enter the tea shop.

This is the side of the new tea shop

This is the front of the tea shop!!!

This is the other side of the shop

Here is one of my favorite of their teas- Raspberry Oolong.  This tea is great iced!!

Their tea is $4.95 a bag.  My favorites are Coconut Oolong and the Raspberry Oolong.  The flavors are wonderful.

I took a peak inside the new eating area.  It looks really nice. I can't wait to go and eat there.

Here are the specials listed for the week.

Oregon Mug found in Orrville

I love these mugs. They are so easy to hold.

One mug bought in Portland Oregon in 2016, one bought in Orrville Ohio in 2019- yet the appear to be made by the same person!!!😳😳😳😳. Okay- to add to the craziness- I bought the mug at the Portland airport at the everything Oregon store for $13...the mug I bought in Orrville was at the thrift store for $2.50!!!

After posting this on line, I was shown this website- it appears they were both made in Oregon.  I still love that they were both made in 2016.  I love these mugs!!!

Cardamom & Curry tea - Kiss of Krishna

'

While I was in Wooster for their home show and I discovered this fun tea.  I love that everything in the tea is real and helpful.   They call this a wellness tea, it is not just a tea that tastes great, it is a tea that helps you.

You can see how many things these teas can help.  Each tea helps different things.

Look at all their great teas...and the more you buy, the more of a discount they give you :)

Ashwagandha -Ginger Root – Tulsi Leaf – Cardamom – Rose Petals – Orange Peel – Mint – Essential Oils

TULSI LEAF
Tulsi has been revered in India for over 5,000 years as a healing balm for body, mind and spirit, and is known to bestow an amazing number of health benefits. These benefits include stress relief, bolstering immunity, enhancing stamina, providing immune support during cold season, promoting healthy metabolism and being a natural immune-modulator.

This is an herbal tea, so you can heat the water to over 200.  And you can steep for 4-5 minutes.

The mint flavor comes through immediately.  But, then there are other notes that come through. I can taste the orange, cardamom, and ginger.  It is really good!!  It's comforting and warming.  I am not sure I have ever had a tea like this, it is hard explain the really great layers of this tea.  I am a huge fan!!!

Stash Iced Tea

I picked up these iced teas when I was in Portland visiting the retail store.  I thought they were a great deal- 8 iced tea bags for $3.95.  They say that they made one quart, but I can easily make three quarts with one bag.

My sisters and I enjoyed visiting the Stash Retail store Portland.  We did a tea flight and bought some teas.

My sisters told me that they don't use an iced tea maker, so I decided to try to make it the way they do.  They put the tea bags in a pitcher.  Next they fill up their electric kettle with water and heat.  Then the heated water is poured into a pitcher.  (I add 1/3 C of sugar) Then they let the water steep, then after 10 minutes they take out the tea and fill the remaining pitcher with cold water.

Pouring the already heated water into the pitchers for steeping with the tea bag.

I let the tea steep in the hot water for around 10 minutes

I filled the remaining pitcher with water.

It works really nicely, my sisters were right.  It was quick and easy and I don't need the tea maker to make good iced tea.
The Stash tea is good and has a nice flavor.  Also, the prices are really great for them.

Guava White Tea with Passion Tea, Starbucks

Shout out to the BEST Starbucks employee I have ever come across- Michelle!  She works at Columbia Tech Center in Vancouver WA.

Michelle was super helpful when I was trying to decide what to order.  She told me her favorite tea drink and that is what I went with.  Guava Iced Tea (no lemonade) and then she substitutes in the Passion Iced Tea for the white tea.

It was good, very sweet, but good.  I think I am done trying other teas here, I know that the Passion Iced Tea (half the syrup) is what I like, so that is what I am going to stick with.

We went since it was Happy Hour and the kids were out of school.  I got them an ice frappuccino buy one get one free.  It was a fun time together.

Love my niece and nephew- so fun to be with them for 10 days!!!!

Bird and Blend Tea- Pink Grapefruit, Cold Brewed

This is my new favorite.  I know, I know I say that a lot....but this one is AmAZing!!!!
It comes from England and I love it cold-brewed!!  I gave it to my sister and she enjoyed it a lot too.
It smells so fresh and so full of grapefruit!  This is the best summer drink :)

Chinese sencha green tea, hibiscus, orange peel, red cornflowers, natural flavouring

Cold brew it great- have you tried it yet?  I put in about 1 teaspoons per 8 oz of cold water, within 10 minutes I have cold brew tea. It doesn't get bitter because the water is cold. I can add water to the cup at least 4 more times throughout the day. I strain it into a cup when I am at home, but I use a bottle from steepware when I cold brew at work or when I am out and about.  Check out the website.  you can add ANY loose leaf tea

10/11 update....more cold brewing tea...

This tea is beautiful. And the aroma is wonderful- you can smell the citrus very clearly.

Cold brew is a great way to drink tea.  By not heating it, you are not releasing the tannins and you can add cold water over and over again. Also you retain more antioxidants than hot brew and also it releases only half the caffeine.  I usually can add water 2-3 more times to my glass.

If I have bagged tea I do one bag per 8 oz of water.  When I do the loose leaf in a pitcher, I generally eye ball it, but if you want something more specific go with 4 Tbsp per 1 quart.
