2nd Annual Summer Tea trip to Dragonfly in Canal Fulton Ohio

BLOG Post 1000- since 2013

I love my office, they are giving us the compressed work week again this summer.  I get to work 4 ten hour days and have a day off the in the middle of the week.
To celebrate my first Wednesday off, I got a group of ladies together and we went for tea at Dragonfly in Canton Fulton.  That is my favorite tea house in the area.

Last year this is the group of ladies that went for lunch.  It is not a tradition.

My only problem with this tea room (and others I have been too), is that they put the loose leaf tea in the tea pot and then it over steeps and becomes bitter.  You then really only get one cup of tea..  We asked for steeping balls and they only had 1.  The ladies scooped out the loose leaf tea out of their pots.  It made a mess.

They need more steep balls! After we ate and went to the gift shop and they had steep balls there, so I said they should have used those for us.

I got the  Victorian Tea  for $16.95
It included:
  • Pot of Tea - I got Raspberry Oolong and it was excellent
  • A scone (I think they were pecan something) and Devonshire Cream
  • Assortment of 3 finger sandwiches- chicken, pimento, and cucumber
  • Assortment of Desserts- strawberry, chocolate truffle, cream puff, and lemon bread
  • Spinach Quiche, Salad, Bread & Herb Butter

I am always pleased to see the place full when we are there too.  I love that they are doing so well!!!  Places like this need to stay in business.

We had a delightful time!!!  This maybe my last time eating at this location- they are moving to a new building.

Look at all that delicious goodness!!!  There was so much food.   The butter bread was good, but that is something I could pass on.  IF they felt it needed something else, maybe gourmet potato chips, or some apple slices or an orange wedge- but I don't think anything else is really needed.   The quiche was excellent and so was the salad.

I have always thought they do a great job with the food.  And I think you get a nice variety for the money.  One of the reasons this is my favorite in the area.

This is my plate of yummy treats.  The finger sandwiches were all in flower shapes.  The pimento may have been my favorite.

And we ate it all....

Going up the side walk to the tea room, they are lined with flowers and teapots on shepherds hooks.  That is what gave me the idea to do at home.
