I can now check off wedding reception of my list! I did an iced tea bar for a friend's wedding reception.
It was at my favorite place too, Beulah Beach!
It was a warm day at the beach, but the breeze was wonderful! The wedding was outside at the camp's outdoor chapel. It was beautiful and God honoring.
The reception was in the youth pavilion. We kept the garage doors down until the guests arrived, the cross breeze was blowing everything around.
Once those doors were open, it was the perfect temp. Since it was almost 90 degrees that day I was worried I would be too hot. But, it was great.
I provided the iced tea section of the drink area.
I had a sweet mint tea, the butterfly pea tea, and an unsweetened black tea. I also then had lemons, sweeteners and various kinds of syrups to sweeten the drinks.
I have been trying several black teas to find the perfect unsweet iced tea. I have now settled on PG Tips. It is not too over powering or bold. I will continue to scout of the teas I use. I have also tried Tetley and Luzianne.
The mint tea is local, Mint Brook- Meadow Farm
The butterfly tea is a personal blend that I make with lavender, mint, butterfly pea blossoms and lemonade.
The decor was light, airy, and romantic. It was just beautiful. Lots of African baskets and plants everywhere.
Not only did I provide the tea, I got to attend the wedding and reception too.
They had Chipotle caterer- it was yummy.
The name markers were super fun too- it was also your favor.
These guys I have known since their birth- it was so much fun to see them and celebrate this day with the family.
Enjoying friends and family is always a good idea!!!
I love serving tea and being apart of these special events!!
Let me know if you have an event where I could come serve tea.
