Getting ready for my second book signing is nerve racking and some what scary. You never know how you will be received. You put yourself out there and now people have the chance to view and judge the book...and you.
New World Spice and Tea Traders has a fantastic new shop in Wooster. The shop is large and spacious and they have so many wonderful things that they sell there. Teas, spices, oils, and local artisan items.
The owners of this shop are so kind and nice. They have been great to work with!! I have done some tea classes in their Wadsworth store and now here in Wooster. Doyle and Sonia have done a lot to make this a really great shop to visit.
They are right beside Liberty Street Marketplace. And there is lots of parking in the back of the shop. Also, if you go in the Liberty Street Marketplace entrance in the back it actually connects to New World Spice and Tea Traders. It is super easy to get too.
And I do recommend parking in the back, it is hard to get parking in the front. Plus, I know some people do not like to parrel park. There is a lot of parking in the back.
Here I am out front. Across the street from Huntington Bank- if you are looking for a land mark. And just down from the square. And if you come on a Saturday in the summer, the square has the farmers market going on. I believe that goes until the first of October.
Here we go... Time to sign some books!!
I have to admit, as much fun as I had, I only sold 2 books.
You try to make it look great on social media, but it doesn't always tell the entire story.
I sit there not talking to people and re-thinking my life choices. Did I really think I could make it in the world of writing? Am I really going to be seen as a tea expert? Should I pursue my tea passion? Then I remember it is one day. We all have bumps in the road and I need to go for it!
There was foot traffic, but not a lot. It was a gorgeous day, so the front door was open and I got to watch people walk by. I tried to make eye contact and then make conversation to get people in the door. It worked with some. I did have a great conversation with a 6 year old about Spiderman.
It was also the first day of the Wayne Country Fair- so maybe people were there. But, I also know I am not a real draw to bring people in, hahahaha.
It is a great location on the main drag of Wooster. Come check it out!
*on a side note, this main drag in Wooster used to be a street my friends and I would cruise in high school. Such fun memories...going super slow with the windows open just hoping to see friends or cute boys. We would go up Hamburger Hill then down Liberty Street. We could easily do this for an hour or more.** ahh the innocent fun.**
My dear friends stopped in and I sold a book to one of them who did not have it yet. It was nice and encouraging to see their smiling faces.
We also had fun trying to oils and vinegars that they sell in the shop. I plan on coming back and getting some for gifts. They had fun and unique flavors.
My great signing station. I loved being in the front of the store and watching people go up and down the street.
Sweet treats made by some locals.
The tea is displayed by kind of tea. There are also smelling jars so you can see and smell the tea.
This is your view as you walk into the shop.
