Smuckers Pickwick Herbal Tea, Wild Raspberry Rose

I went with my friend for lunch and ran into another friend!!  I love that my town is the home of Smuckers!  I am proud of all that Smuckers does for our community.  I love the family.  And I can say that because I was their nanny for 2.5 years.  The family is terrific.  They do so much good in the area.

While waiting for my food I was wondering about the store and noticed tea.  I had no idea that Smuckers owned a tea company!  But yes, Smuckers is the distributor for Pickwick tea.

I enjoyed a cup of tea that afternoon.  I was able to get two cups out of the one bag.  The flavor was very nice.  I may try mixing it with mint and make it cold this summer.

My friend Melanie and I went to Simply Smuckers for lunch the other day.  We got these little lunch boxes of food. Not bad for less than $7.00!!!

Chicken feta burger was AMAZING!!!!  So yummy

Ingredients organic chamomile flowers, organic lemon balm leaves, organic apple pieces, organic lavender, organic linden leaves

I love this tea!  It is refreshing and so yummy.  I love the hint of lavender in it.  The only draw back is that it does have chamomile in it and I am not a huge chamomile lover.  But, I still give this tea thumbs up.  I think I am going to make it as iced tea next time.

Snapple Straight Up Tea- sorta sweet rooibos

http://www.snapple.com/products/snapple-straight-up-sorta-sweet-tea

I discovered a new Snapple and I think I like it.  Now, it's no Snapple Peach, but it is still good.  You can definitely taste the rooibos in the tea.  Rooibos teas almost have a carmel taste to them. Give it a try and let me know what you think!!!!

Rooibos is not technically "tea" - at least that is what the purest say.  And I am not a purest, so I consider it and herbal teas still teas.    White/green/yellow/oolong/black tea is all made from the leaves from the camellia sinensis plant. The end product simply depends on how long the leaves have been fermented.   Rooibos (pronounced roy-boss) or Red Bush on the other hand is a completely different plant grown in the Western Cape Province. The leaves are actually green but turn red when oxidized.

This was in my Christmas stocking.  Yes, I am still getting a stocking at 43!!  I get a stocking until I get married. It is a perk of being single.  What a fun way to carry bagged tea.

Trader Joes Mint Melange

I am a tea snob, I can admit it.  I usually drink loose leaf tea and not bagged tea.  But, I do like a could mint tea, so I bought this mint tea from Trader Joes.  I have to say it might be about my favorite mint tea ever.  It has a great flavor to it!!  It has peppermint, spearmint, and lemon grass in it.  I am a fan!!!!  I let some co-workers try it too, and they loved it as well.

Bearded Buch Spiced Elderberries

Kombucha is a beverage produced by fermenting sweet tea with a culture of yeast and bacteria.  I discovered I liked some of the flavors of Kombucha when I was in the Portland/Vancouver area with my sister a few years ago.  I actually had a case of it shipped to my house (Wonder Drink).  I was excited to see my local grocery store starting to carry flavors of Kumbucha.  I tried the Bearded Buch.  Let's just say the moment I opened it smelled of alcohol.  It was WAY to strong for me. I had about 3 sips and I knew that was it for me.  I have friends who make it, so I look forward to trying their recipes and maybe one day making my own.

Tealightful summer berries

This tea is super tart, but good on occasion.  You can get about 4 cups out of one serving.

I have put this tea in an airtight container.  I took a glass jar and sprayed painted it black on the outside.  It is great to store tea in, because no air and no light get in and your tea will last longer.

Looks and smells great!  You can see all the berries in the tea

You don't really need to steep this more then 4 minutes, at least I found that to be the case.  It is really tart.  The longer you steep, the more tart it becomes.
