Salt Creek Teas- iced London Cloud and a Strawberry Matcha

Time to use my Salt Creek Cafe Gift Card...and what better time then on a Wednesday off!

Note they are close Sunday and Monday.    They open weekly at 7am and Fridays at 6am.  They are open until 8pm, except on Thursdays they close at 2pm.  Be sure to check the schedule when you are going.

I was gifted this gift card and I was so excited to use it.  I had not been to Salt Creek since they moved down the street.

It was a beautiful day to be out, I snapped this photo, knowing I wanted to paint it later.

There was a nice selection of tea.

Great food options too.  When I was there almost every table was full, but there is also seating outside too.

I ordered a chicken grain bowl and an iced London Cloud.  Everything was very good and fresh tasting.

 

I had no idea they had a happy hour...1/2 price drinks?  Yes please!!!  I then got a Strawberry Matcha to go.  I never one to pass on half price tea!!!!

I will be back again.  This is a really nice place.  I even ran into people from my home town. 

Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.  The food and tea were really great. They prices are reasonable too.

Yemeni Iced Tea at Qahwah In Columbus

While in Columbus I also went to Qahwah.  I have been here a few times before, I really enjoy their drinks and pastries.  These are the food and drinks from Yemen.

I ordered the Yemeni Iced tea.  I thought it was pretty good.  I do think I prefer this drink hot to cold.

Everything here is bright and clean.  The staff is friendly and helpful.  They also have a very nice menu assortment. 

I am not a fan of driving in Columbus, but I am a fan of the variety of food and tea here!  There is  always something fun and new to explore and try.  

When I am in the area I try to go to at least 2 or 3 places.

I forget what my friend got, but I believe she really enjoyed it as well.

Lots of seating available too.  

There are so many fun options and things to try here.  

And those desserts..... wow!

On our way to this tea house we stopped at a very nice art museum along the way.  The art in there was gorgeous.  It was fun to walk around and browse.  If you are in the area, pop in and have a look.

Otts Tea Banana Chai Pudding and Banana Bonanaza

I have to say I love being recognized as the tea lady, lol!!

Otts has some great tea creations.

Melissa and I went and I got the Banana Chai with the banana pudding cold foam- DELICIOUS!!!

I shared with Deb, who had never been to Otts and now she is a believer too!

She and I went back the next week and got some fun teas again.

And then the other week they had a Christmas in July week and we tried some more.  Deb, Amy, and I headed over to the Orrville location....thank you for coming to Contax!  And we were again pleased and delighted!!

I love anything with the banana cold foam!

All the drinks get 5 teacups out of 5!!

(I had 5 drinks in 3 weeks, lol)

Belmont Stakes Tea at Lincway

I was so thrilled to do a Belmont Stakes Tea at Lincway in Dalton.

This was a class for tea tastings, making fascinators, tea treats, and watching a Belmont Stakes Race.

I made tickets with AI for everyone.  They could keep one as a souvenir and one was used to pick their horse.  We would watch an old Belmont Stakes and everyone would pick a horse, a winner would get a prize.

I made four iced teas.

I made a wonderful, Mint Julep.  This might have been everyone's favorite.

I did an iced Earl Grey.  I also then offered a vanilla or lavender cold foam on the top is they wanted.

I did a Lemon Plume black tea.  Then I also had a lemon honey they could add as a sweetner.

Lastly I had my Butterfly Pea Tea, aka, Purple Palmer.

I also did a cold foam option if anyone wanted.

There was a fascinator station.  Everyone could create their own fascinator.  This was so much fun!!!  They all did so good at this.

Lincway provided the food and I have to say this was my favorite food they have made for one of my teas thus far...

They had sweet and savory.

They also provided a fruit cup.

I had carnations on the table, since the Belmont race's flower is the white carnation.

One of my favorite things about this day was that I was surprised by multiple people who showed up!

My three high school besties showed up with their moms and then they invited MY mom!  Also one of their daughters and another ones coworker came.

I was shocked!!!

They also then gave fake names so I would not see that they were coming.  They each had a golden girl name, what a hoot.  I was blown away!

Then my work friend surprised me and brought her mom!

Check out these fascinators!!!  I loved this class.

We then watched the Belmont Stakes race from 2024...they did not know a head of time which race I would select.  And while they were working on their hats and eating, I had the horses and jockey's playing on the TV, so they could see which one they would select.

Also while they ate I had a Utube video playing with a how to video on making fascinators to help spark ideas.
