I made this delicious iced tea and headed out with friends to see the Stan Hywet Garden's.  It had been 48 days since I had gone anywhere that was not essential  and it was supposed to be 70 degrees.

Other must have thought this too, because it took us over an hour to get into the gardens.  They were only letting 100 people in at one time.  That made it really nice because as we walked around there were not people everywhere.  That was really nice.

From the website, "The Manor House is one of the finest examples of Tudor Revival architecture in America.

The Seiberlings chose architect Charles S. Schneider to design Stan Hywet Hall for $150,000. Schneider and the Seiberlings travelled to England and visited well-known homes including Ockwells Manor in Berkshire, Compton Wynyates in Warwickshire and Haddon Hall in Derbyshire, influencing the design of Stan Hywet.

An enormous amount of detail went into building the 64,500 sq. ft. Manor House, including 3,000 separate blueprints and architectural drawings for its design. The groundbreaking took place in early 1912 and the family moved into the Manor House in December, 1915.  To facilitate the delivery of massive quantities of building supplies, a railroad spur was created for transport onto the property. The Seiberlings lived in Stan Hywet Hall for 40 years.

At the end of the Birch Tree Allée is the Birch Tree Allée Vista, a stunning overlook of the Lagoon, with distant views of the Cuyahoga Valley. At the end of the Allée are the Tea Houses,  a pair of garden pavilions made of stone, timber and slate. Popular in the 18th century, Stan Hywet's tea houses bring an ancient tradition into the early years of the 20th century, providing shelter from unpleasant weather --as well as a place to rest and enjoy the countryside or lush garden of the nearby lagoon."

Here is the photo of the tea houses:

Next time I go I will bring my travel tea set and enjoy tea in the tea houe!

I enjoyed my turmeric iced tea as I walked around the grounds.  It was beautiful out!

Enjoying another great day outside and drinking turmeric iced tea.  The citrus, mango, and turmeric blend so well together.  Then as your swallow you get the  spice of peppercorns.   I love the notes in this tea.

I love watching my quince bushes bloom!  They remind me of little tea roses.  Spring has sprung!
